The Rolston

This unique development retains the historic Yale Hotel and adds a 26 storey contemporary tower that will provide a gateway structure at the Granville Street entry to downtown Vancouver. Great care has been given to ensure that this building is sustainable both environmentally, and socially. Most units have large “sky gardens” created through the clever pushing and pulling of the building form. Two amenity levels have been provided. The west facing 16th level offers a passive relaxation space in a club atmosphere with barbeque, bar seating, and a range of smaller scaled spaces. The upper level features a large area of urban gardens as well as a barbeque, communal dining table, community space, and a children’s play area. The streetscape acknowledges the Granville Street frontage and the newly created Rolston Crescent as highly activated urban edges.
