Nikkei Garden

Nikkei Garden has been designed to celebrate the rich heritage of the Japanese Canadian community. The garden includes elements of traditional Japanese gardens as well as influences of the West Coast natural landscape, and contemporary landscape design. The park is highly used for outdoor events and ceremonies associated with the Nikkei Place Heritage Centre and Museum and provides a publicly accessible landscape setting for the Centre and neighbourhood. A water feature, including waterfall and reflecting pool, separate the garden from a major street, providing visual and acoustic screening to the park.
