Vanessa Goldgrub

Landscape Designer

Since Vanessa can remember, she’s always had a keen interest in art, design, architecture and the natural environment. Seems fitting, as Landscape Architecture is a union of all her passions. “Through great design,” she explains, “landscape architecture is truly improving the quality of life for residents. We can make meaningful outdoor spaces for people to inhabit, connect and make their own”.

Originally from Ontario, Vanessa obtained a Bachelors of Environmental Studies – Urban Planning with a specialization in Urban Design from the University of Waterloo, and moved to BC to complete her Masters of Landscape Architecture from the University of British Columbia.

Vanessa has been described as a “serious creator who doesn’t take life too seriously” and her creative processes are definitely appreciated at eta. Even in her time away from eta, she enjoys making art and design of all media and scales; painting, graphic design, theatrical makeup and photography, just to name a few. When Vanessa isn’t creating, you can find her retreating city life, camping out on the beach or in the mountains and woods.
